This classic Chevrolet was hand picked by an elderly gent who was looking for a low to no-rust original car. He spent a lot of time getting everything mechanically reliable and ready for the road. Take a look at the pictures, video and details: Cosmetic - Paint/Body: Straight body with original blue paint that has been touched up in places. The top and rear white paint are all brand new and look fantastic! There is no indication of any rust on the body, lower quarters are all solid and rockers look fantastic. Lots of new parts like new front and rear chrome bumpers and guards, new hood ornament, and light bezels.
- Interior: Original interior shows its age but still looks presentable as a driver. Tears on the sides of the driver seat, and top edges have been stitched for appearance. Carpet is in good condition. Rear tray needs to be replaced.
- Glass/Windows: All glass is original, windows roll up and down easily. All glass is in good original condition. (Just cracked the driver window after filming the video).
- Trunk: Trunk was sanded and painted at the same time as the top and rear. Looks beautiful with a new rubber floor mat, spare tire, and original iron and jack.
- Undercarriage: Rust free and uncut original frame rails. New front floor pans installed professional from the inside. Original trunk pan is solid and shows only 2 tiny rust spots in the very rear (see video)
- Wheels/Tires: Corvette rally wheels with good tires. Rear tires fill the wheel well and could use stiffer rear shocks to avoid minor scrubbing in turning tight corners.
Mechanical - Drivetrain: Original 265 V8 starts with ease and runs strong. Carburetor was recently rebuilt along with a fresh tune up. Powerglide shifts flawlessly and we see no signs of leaks from the engine or transmission. The car drives smoothly down the road and is easy to steer and stop.
- Lights/Electrical: All lights and original gauges have been restored to function properly.
- Brakes: Brakes have been serviced and stop great.
I love these 4-door BelAirs maybe even more than the 2-door! They are an iconic looking classic and easy to get into and out of. This is a sharp original running and driving car that can be enjoyed today and projected on a little at a time to bring to the next level. Watch the video then call Erick at 678-908-6006.
