Chevrolet Monte Carlo 1986 Description
Head-turning classic with 1,561 miles on the odometer (rolled over in January 2017). True SS; not a clone! The real thing.Stock 305 ci V8 engine with a 4bbl carburetor. Serious exhibition quality off the lights, if that's your thing.
Rebuilt 200-4R automatic transmission with shift kit and dedicated cooler and 3.73 ratio rear differential. Edelbrock tubular headers with TorqTech cat-back 2.5" exhaust; sounds amazing without being obnoxious.
Class act. New front suspension, control arms, shocks, and brakes recently installed. Original stock wheels with P245/60 R15" TA radials all around; the look this car was made for. Full-size spare on stock rim.Clean emissions; passes California smog consistently every time.
Significant care has been taken with the light grey interior. Power steering, power windows, power door locks, tilt, tinted windows, sport mirrors with drivers and passenger side cable remote, Aftermarket sound with a Kenwood KDC-X695 head unit driving a matched 100W power amplifier. Column lock anti-theft device very subtly installed by previous owner. Carpet, headliner, front bucket seats all installed in last 10 years. Center console, shifter, OEM sport steering wheel with classic SS logo horn button.
Clean title; this well cared for Monte SS has enjoyed only 2 owners. A Texas machine, it was brought to California in 2002. Driven in the south-western desert for 14 years since, mostly in Southern California. Car body is in great condition. No rust. All original body work. Painted in 2006.
If you're after something sporty like an El Camino but not so common-place, this is it! Rare in the South Bay; you'll go 1,500 miles to find another one.
