Chevrolet Bel Air/150/210 1957 Description
Cowl tag reads as follows Style 57-1011D Body 6540 Trim 663 Paint 817This car has been totally restored. A friend of mine owned it and it sat in his garage for 16 years before I purchased it. You can see how the car looked the day I took it out of his garage on youtube just type in 1957 chevy bel air canyon coral. The floor boards and trunk were replaced. The original 283 engine was rebuilt by Jerry at Pit Stop in Trenton. The Transmission a power glide was rebuilt by Jimmy at Economy transmissions in Trenton. Both of these guys are the last of the old timers and are tops in their field. The body work. paint. welding and rebuild was done by Paul at L and B Automotive in New Egypt and he is the best I have ever seen. proof is in the pictures. All of the stainless was removed and taken to a place in Philly can't remember the name but he buffed all of the stainless and it looks 1000% better than it did. looks better than new. (my opinion). Best part is that all the stainless is original. All of the Gold Stainless was replaced because it can't be buffed out to original color. The only original gold piece left is the Bel air symbol on the dash. I left that because I wanted to keep the interior dash all original. The dash was refurbished to its original luster. The front and rear windshield are original. All the side glass had to be replaced because of cracking. Bumpers. light bezels and bullets were replaced because the were to pitted to keep or restore. The tires are the correct bias ply for 1957 chevy bel air. The Jack is the original and has been restored. This car is just beautiful. See video made today on youtube. 1957 chevy 3-2015
