Chevrolet Suburban 1994 Description
Chevy 4X4 Suburban that I was going to modify to be a camper/climber hauler. My plan is overcome by events in my life and time to get it out of my driveway. Body looks OK, some dents and rust, don't think it has been repainted. Roof and hood are sun burnt with some patches of surface rust. Frame is solid with some surface rust and appears to have never been recoated. Driver's door side mirror is broken off and it looks like the attachment screws are stripped out. Damaged mirror is in the car.Engine was rebuilt by prior owner -- no warranty, looks like gaskets were replaced, compression on all cylinders is 200 +/-10 psi. Trans reportedly rebuilt 30K ago. Interior rough and dirty especially door panels and carpets. Seats are actually pretty good with no visible holes or burn marks. Headliner in tact. Rear brakes don't work -- rusted brake line at the rear axle like they all do. Emergency Brake works. 4X4 works and it is the older failsafe manual linkage. Radio and heater work. Windows work, wipers work, and tailgate switch works. All lights and signals work. AC does not work, parts present and reportedly not recharged after engine replaced. Exhaust system is a shade tree mechanic's prize and needs some pieces replaced. Tires will get you home and then some. Wheels dirty and solid.
I drove it home (90 miles) 4 months ago and parked it--yesterday it started right up! My plans for the truck are OBE by me adopting/rescuing two 6 month old puppies from a puppy mill shortly after I bought the truck. The pups are boy litter-mates who were never out of crates for their first 6 months. They are taking a lot of my time and important to me.
Vehicle is very rough and needs a lot of work.
The truck is worth more than the salvage or donation price, which is my starting price and auction deposit. I may be able to help a little with you picking up from Baltimore area or driving it onto the shipper.
Deposit of $300 due by paypal within 24 hours of end of auction, full payment before shipping or at pick up, in cash or paypal. Pick up or ship within 7 days of end of auction.
