Chevrolet Corvette 1990 Description
GREENWOOD CORVETTE
GOLD PKG
NON SMOKER
EXTRA CLEAN
57K MILES
Okay, realize that the gold on this beautiful Greenwood Corvette may not be for everyone but it gets a serious amount of looks and alot of comments and all are good. I will start by saying that if you do NOT like the gold, o not let that trip you up on buying an extra clean and low mile southern Vette. If you use the 'BUY IT NOW', will change all the gold on this car to whatever you choose, can refinish it in black, ilver, harcoal gray, r just about anything you can imagine, dditionally, can update the gold and freshen that up. I really think that this car is unique and looks super smooth, he Greenwood kit looks really sharp and it sets this one apart from the rest. As you Vette 'aficionados' know, his is the final year for this 84-90 C4 body style prior to going with the rounded out front and rear bumper covers. This car is a non-smoker's car from southern California and as you can see from the photos of the undercarriage, t's really clean. Please enjoy the nearly 80 full sized pictures below.
The body of the car is clean and straight with no major scratches or stress cracking, he left rear 1/4 panel has a slight bit of sunfade that can really only be seen at certain angles and it is shiny and glossy. There are a few blemishes in the finish as to be expected with all older Vettes including a few hairline blems in the rear spoiler, f course a few scuffs on the front spoiler and as to be expected a few stone chips up front. I have had all of these professionally airbrushed so unless you have your eyes 6" from the paint, ou will see nothing but a gorgeous, hiny Corvette. BF Goodrich tires are excellent showing 75% or better tread remaining at all four corners and the alloy wheels are all intact, ome of the gold is showing a slight bit of aging if you look at them closely but they still look nice and can be freshened up if you are picky, here are no curb checks or scuffs on the lip of the wheels. Glass is excellent including the windshield, ear glass has a medium tint on it that is in great condition, o fading, ubbling or 'purpling'.
The interior of the car is equally impressive, eats are supple and soft, ash is in nice shape with no heat warping or disfigurement, love box door opens and closes properly etc. Carpets are clean and the car has no foul odors from tobacoo, ets or air fresheners. The car has power windows, ower locks, ilt, ruise, ear hatch release and dual power seats. The BOSE audio system turns on, unes into stations and the display/illumination functions properly and even the power antenna works, owever, here is no sound. I decided not to dig into that because most people upgrade the sound systems in cars of this vintage anyhow but in my experience, t's usually just a simple problem of the factory BOSE amplifier not turning on, cheap fix with readily available parts if you wish to keep the factory audio system.
The car runs and drives super smooth. Engine turns over quickly and fires right away, o apparent leaks either. It is powerful and quiet, oes not emit any smoke from the exhaust and there are no abnormal noises from the engine at all. Transmission shifts properly and this car is not only a blast to drive, t's alot of fun to be seen in. Now, he only real issue I have found with this car is the air conditioning, he compressor does not turn on with the switch in the dash. I have evacuated and charged the system and if the switch is bypassed it blows ice cold air, t must be a relay or something simple but I do not have the ability to do anything with it. It all does work though, he 'blend doors', he fan, verything, f you wish, can install a manual switch to turn on the compressor. Other than that, his car is mechanically top notch as it should be with so few miles.
Don't miss this opportunity to own a real head turner and a really fun cruiser, pring and summer are coming fast! I watched a plain '91 base model with just under 100k miles do $7k at a dealer auction last week so I think that at $9950 for a car this clean with all the extras like the $4000 Greenwood kit, he low miles and squeaky clean history is a really good buy. I know we all like to wheel and deal when it comes to buying a car so I will entertain REASONABLE offers from REAL buyers. Please call me at (602)315-4055 with any questions. I am happy to assist with transport or I will pick you up at the airport if you wish to fly in and drive it home. Thanks for looking!
