Chevrolet Bel Air/150/210 1955 Description

1955 Chevrolet Bel Air body shell, frame. Former drag car, not recommended for restoration as a street driven car, intended for rebuilding as a competition only vehicle. Rough condition. No title, but will provide a bill of sale upon request. No reserve auction. Body: Missing drivers door, and most glass, has door glass in pass. door, but no vent window. Lexan quarter windows. Fiberglas tilt front clip, not attached. Steel trunk lid, not attached, no springs. Package tray, inner quarter panels, wheel wells, and most of floor has been removed. Half of firewall has been removed.Rear wheel openings have been enlarged for clearance of drag slicks.Original grille is included, fair to good condition. Frame: Rear section has been narrowed, partial roll bar {supports;braces}. Partial trans. crossmember. Notch has been cut in front of frame for clearance of rack and pinion steering, which is missing. No tie rod, steering box or column. Front suspension looks original except for addition of disc brake rotors. No calipers or other brake parts. Rear axle is temporarily clamped in place so the vehicle will roll. Not a posi-traction. No springs or driveshaft, motor, or trans. Left side drums is seized, probably due to brake shoes rusted to the drum. Wheels: Chevrolet rally wheels, 15x7 front, 15x8 rear, fair to good condition, tires hold air, but not good enough to drive on. For best description, please view pictures. Sold as-is, no reserve.
