Chevrolet Caprice 1982 Description
This is a 1982 Chevy Caprice Classic. I brought it from a military man in Cheyenne, WY that was stationed at Warren Air Force base retired. Was a USAA member for fifty years plus. (You can see these stickers on the back tailgate.). It is a two owner car. Garaged since 1989. He used it as a back up car and a family vacation car. It has new tires with less than a 1,000 miles. The AC compressor needs to be replaced. The brake light on dash stays on. It was like that when he bought it in 1989.I bought this to help move him to Austin, TX because they couldn't take both cars. I drove this for approximately 500 miles and it runs good. No major issues. Brakes work fine. All lights work good. Car has its share of dents, dings and scratches for its age, but is for the most part rust free from what I can see. It has been intercoated in the back interquarter wells. As you can see from picture. Has original spare tire and all accessories. Back glove box has original GM Car care kit plus battery cables, fan belt and various other tools bought in the 1989 still made in the USA. There is some body molding missing on the passenger door. Still has original owners manual. Can send additional pictures if you are interested. Also the rocker panels appear to be rust free as you can see from the pictures. Also past Colorado Emissions within the last 30 days. Clean title. Would not be afraid to drive across country at this point. The check engine light did come on a couple of time when I was driving this but it went right back off and this is common in these years due to connections. Also could use new plugs, wires, cap and rotor. Minor tuneup. Also I had this car processional detailed. Overall drove down the road straight, no dog tracking. Feeling like you are driving on air.
A $500.00 immediate depoist is due with 24 hours of the end of the auction. Rest due in cash on pickup. Local pickup only.
The car is sold as is. But if you have questions please asked and I will be happy to answer them as best as I can.
