Chevrolet Corvette 1981 Description

I am listing this car for the second adult owner. Its a 1981 Corvette with 25666 original miles. It is in very nice condition considering its age. The body has its original paint, ever damaged with only minor flaws here and there. Original glass T-tops. It has the original wheels with newer tires. The taillights are an aftermarket custom addition. The undercarriage is nice and clean and damage free. The brake system is all new with stainless steel calipers etc. The interior has the original leather buckets with the drivers side having a burn hole from the owners son. The carpet is unworn but starting to fade. A brand new original style carpet kit is included in the sale. The dash and gauges are all original, unction properly and not damaged. An AM/FM CD stereo was added by the current owner.All glass in good shape with no scratches. All rubber weatherstripping etc is original and appears to be in good shape. The current owner purchased the car with 19k miles on it but soon realized the original 190hp turd of an engine it came with from the factory didnt suit him. So he purchased and installed the current motor which is a 350 ci 4 bolt main motor with a 3 two barrel intake with Rochester carbs, ild cam and new Hugger headers with brand new dual exhaust all the way back. A new clutch, ressure plate, nd bearing were installed at that time. The car still has the original 4 speed trans. The horsepower of the motor is unknown but after running the car I would guess around 400. It runs smooth and strong with no issues and the car now sounds and performs like a Vette should and can be driven anywhere. All in all this is a real nice, un car for not a lot of money.
