Take a look at this VERY hard to find 1938 Chevrolet Cabriolet Convertible with Rumble seat! The history of this car is absolutely amazing! PLEASE LOOK THROUGH ALL OF THE PICTURES TO SEE A PRINTED PAGE OF THE HISTORY OF THIS CAR!
The previous owners of this car have owned it since 1953! The car had a complete frame off restoration that was completed in 1982. When it was finished, e took his family and a couple neighbors for a ride around the block, or a grand total of 7.2 miles. The car was then put into his clean and dry storage shed, nd had not seen the light of day nor has it been driven until just about a month ago or so! When I asked him why he left it sit, e said "the car was so beautiful when it was completed, couldnt bring myself to drive it anymore because I live on a gravel road" In fact, he chrome wheel trim rings were never put on after the restoration because he didnt want to scratch the paint on the wheels! The car was painted its original color of Brentwood Brown.
We then had the absolute pleasure of getting this beautiful car into our shop and get her purring again. So during that process, he following items were rebuilt or replaced only due to the amount of time the car was sitting. The carb was rebuilt, he fuel lines and tank were cleaned, LL new brakes, heel cylinders, tc. Engine oil changed, hassis lubed, nd more.
They had reset the odometer to "0" when the restoration was completed. He put 7.2 miles on the car giving his family a ride when it was done, nd the odometer now reads 10.x due to us test driving it after it was out of the shop. The engine runs quiet and smooth and starts right up. The only thing we did not do was address the tires. As for tread they are like new, nly 10 miles on them. But due to sitting they do have flat spots in them, f you intend on driving the car, ou will want to replace them or we can do it for you...
