Chevrolet C-10 1978 Description

1978 Chevy C10 short wheel base. I bought this from a gentleman a couple of years ago with the intention of an LT1 or 383 installation for a pretty fast little truck. The previous owner had spent a lot of money on this truck over the years lowering it, ual exhaust, ires,wheels, tc.,but it was not running great and that was when I bought it. After some basic diagnostics it turned out to only having a camshaft going bad. I also found the engine was the original matching number engine with all emissions still operable.I just could not hot rod a matching number vehicle with all engine emission controls in place and working. At this point I hated to modify this truck so installed an RV cam, ifters and timing chain and it runs great and i am going a different direction with a different truck. Has new hoses, elts and AC hoses also. Paint is two stage urethane and looks good. My painter replaced front fenders do to minor rust. He also found previous metal work on rockers. Fit is ok but just not as good as original. Paid a lot for paint but it is not a show job. Would rate it a 7 or 8 on scale of 10. Interior is nice and bed has been sprayed. I don't live in an emission area and will not guarantee emissions. Data sheet show California emission equipped but does not have cat converters.Was lowered with spindles and drive great. Isn't a perfect show truck but a great cruiser/driver that runs great. The milage is not guaranteed but the engine was clean inside and the 71000 miles look right. Title is in my name.
