Chevrolet SS 1969 Description
I have owned this beautiful 1969 Impala SS-427 Convertible for the past 25 years - since 1991 to be exact. The mileage of 38,360 is original and I have put on only about 5,000 miles since I originally purchased the vehicle. At 47 years old, this is a very rare no-nonsense car with matching numbers and well kept maintenance records.Features include the 390 horsepower 427 SS motor along with the 3-speed Turbo 400 automatic transmission on the floor - all factory. This is a beautiful solid car that cruises effortlessly.
Well equipped with all the options for that year including bucket seats with console, power steering, power windows, power seat, and power convertible top that functions perfectly. This vehicle also sports a factory air conditioner that blows cold-cold, tilt steering, AM/FM stereo with blue light and four speakers, factory tinted glass with a rear glass window as part of the convertible top. Has the Rally wheels with Redlines which are like new with low mileage. Rear view mirror light, fiber optics, silicone brakes. Car is in very nice unmolested condition. Very clean with what I believe to be the original paint. Paint shines like new and though not very noticeable, paint is starting to show some light crackling due to age and originality. Still, this does not take away from the shine or beauty of the car.
As with the body and motor, the interior is original and in excellent condition. No rips or splits in the seats. Chrome, glass and dash are in excellent condition. Instrument panel is bight and crisp and everything on the car functions properly.
This car has been very well maintained throughout its life.. Oil & fluids changed on schedule per owner's manual. When I don't take it on a spin, I do start the car and let it run on a daily basis and to keep the gasoline fresh and becoming stagnate, I add a product called Sta-bil. I have always stored the car inside and do not drive it in the rain.
This is a rust free Texas car with no damage. To my knowledge, it has never been in an accident and the straight lines of the body supports this fact. The car is fast and smooth, is ready to go and I would drive it anywhere. I am not a dealer. This car is part of my private collection. Love the car but it is time for it to go only because I am moving out of state. This is a very rare vehicle that would be a great investment.
