Chevrolet Corvette 1979 Description

Selling 1979 Corvette - Another baby on the way and not much time to drive or enjoy it. Has 4spd manual transmission (Borg Warner SuperT10), 350 Chevy crate motor, 3.36 rear end, 4 wheel disc brakes, and all black interior. 04000 on Odometer - 104000 original miles on car but unknown how many are on the aftermarket engine. I've owned it for just over a year, and the last owner had it for 3 years but didn't know the age of the engine. No major leaks or issues with the engine, it runs strong. Oil pressure is good, temp gauge around 190-200 usually.Frame is straight and solid with just some surface patina on the underside of the chassis. Body-on clean up was done with some rust-prevent underbody coating.
Brand new Kenwood radio installed with CD player, bluetooth (so you can hands free talk while shifting!) and auxiliary inputs. The bluetooth mic is installed in the ashtray so it is hidden when the ashtray door is closed. Ashtray is clean. No smoking in the car! Leather is well maintained and dashboard is clean and looks great. Clock doesn't work and the turn signal blinkers in the dashboard don't light up all the time, but the turn signals on the outside of the car work. Horn works. Speedometer is about 5mph off when driving 60. Tachometer works. Hood release sticks a little bit. Rally wheels with all the beauty rings and hubcaps. One of the hubcaps is aftermarket.
Includes all the options - Cold AC, works on all settings. Power windows, tilt/ telescoping steering wheel. Factory alarm works. Headlights work and go up/down. Windshield wipers work; everything is pretty solid. I installed an electric choke with an in-line fuse and replaced broken parts on the carb to help cold starts. All fluids replaced in the last 6 - 8 months: motor oil, rear-end fluid, transmission fluid, brake fluid & bleed, power steering fluid. Battery is a few years old but turns the engine fine. New master cylinder and new mechanical fuel pump, fuel filter this year. Tires are in great shape, not abused. Some minor imperfections in the paint like a couple bubbles and a nick here or there from normal driving.
I include the original owners manual & paperwork, plus the factory assembly manual and some project books. Also the comes with the t-top carrying bag and a spare door handle. It's a good car and I like it, hope someone else likes it too and gets to enjoy it. I may buy another one some day when the time is right.
