Cadillac DeVille 1975 Description
This car is an absolute pleasure to drive. There is certainly nothing like these cars on the road today. Everything on the car is in good to excellent condition and everything works (except the factory clock, of course).I have installed new shocks, tires, plugs, wires, distributor, a/c compressor (refrigerant has been converted), new speakers, new power antenna, windshield washer pump, flushed transmission and installed new filter and Redline fluid, new alternator, steering gearbox (with quicker ratio). I have addedcustompadded arm rests (partially to hide the cracked vinyl) and a custom made center console with clock and buttons for cruise control and downshift solenoid. The leather is in very good condition except the drivers seat which has some cracking. Also I fabricated a customgaugepanel with tach, voltmeter, oil pressure and water temp. (hate driving with just idiot lights.) The dash has no cracks and the headliner and carpet are good. I got this car about 3 years ago from a guy who bought if from an elderly widowed antiques dealer. It was her husband's car. He bought it new in 1975fromLindsay Cadillac in Virginia. He worked in a radiator shop and cared for this car for about 25 years until he died and his wife kept it in a barn behind her shop. Her son drove it around the block once a week until the man I bought it from picked it up on a pure whim and sold it almost immediately to me. I have smoothed out all of the kinks and I have driven this car from North Carolina to Pennsylvania several times and I would not hesitate to drive it across the country. My wife says I have to sell because I recently acquired a 1976 Fleetwood Talisman. The car does really need a paint job. It looks pretty good from a distance but up close it is not "show" ready. But for what I am asking for this car it will totally satisfy your need to remeber what it is like to float down the road on the marshmallow soft ride only one of these land yachts can give.
