Cadillac El Deora 1976 Description
Well, I didn't think the day would ever come that I would sell my baby, but it did. Up for sale is a very rare 1976 Cadillac ElDora. Yep, it is spelled correctly! This is a Cadillacapproved conversion completed and sold new with the conversion. There are several different themes of this conversion and the most popular. The grill is replaced with a Rolls Royce grill, the landau roof is extended to the mirror on the doors and opera windows installed. It also has the continental style trunk lid. This car was bought new by a friend of mine and always kept in a garage. I acquired it 9 years ago and other than going for inspection, a nice Sunday afternoon drive and a dust wash, it has always been garaged. The bumper fillers had dried out and cracked and I had all new bumper fillers professionally painted and replaced. Everything on the car works as it did the day it was purchased. It has four new tires and no body rust with the exception of the chrome molding around the base of the landau roof. Each spot where the pins on the chrome molding go through the body there is some surface rust. Also, at the base of the continental kit on the drunk lid. The ride and quiet interior of this car are second to none. The engine idles smooth and accelerates like a rocket and the transmission shifts and performs perfectly, as it should. The car has positively NO issues and I would not hesitate to take off to California in it as we speak. And what a beautiful and comfortable ride that would be. The car is all original as purchased at the GM Cadillac Dealer in late 1975. It is the last year for the big, full framed car. The 500 c.i. V-8 is the largest engine that GM has everbuilt for a production vehicle. It is based on the Coupe Deville body and has never been in a motor vehicle accident. I'm sure there are things I may have missed but I've tried to describe the car as accurately and honest as possible. There are NO cracks on the steering wheel or dash anywhere. Please feel free toask questions.
