Cadillac DeVille 1958 Description

Up for auction is a 1958 Cadillac Coupe DeVille with 51K original miles. This is a well preserved original car that is a recipient of 1-repaint from the factory. This has been a New Mexico car for a very long time, and still retains a current NM title from 1970. With that said, this is a very solid and dry car. Absolutely no cancer on to or underneath, just a good solid car. It was ordered very healthily when purchased new. It has factory air (retrofitted to R134A), power windows, power seat, power brakes, auto dimming head lights, power steering, AM/FM wonderer radio (not functional), power antenna, and RARE factory Sabre wheels. The engine appears to be the original 365CI V8
This 58’ runs very well, starts every time I have needed it to. It drives like a 58’, like a tank. The power brakes are a little hard and it does pull to left and sometimes to the right when you apply brakes quickly, my guess is they are out of adjustment . The chrome appears to be original and in decent shape, not show chrome but good driver quality. The stainless steel is in great shape, inside and outside the car. There is a decent size scratch/dent in the rear which I have photo graphed. The stainless is not pitted or hazed like most, you can tell this car came from a dry climate. The doors shut like a new 58’ would.
I have taken pictures of paint blemishes, little chips and any damage you would see if you were standing in front of the car, there are 100 photos please review them thoroughly.
The finish is older and when they repaint it they taped a lot of the trim off. It has begun pealing around those areas which I have also photographed; this is happening in the door jams as well.
The interior is original and the worst area is the top corner of the drivers seat. It is leather worn/cracked. Power windows work effortlessly. Power seat is also functional as well as the power antenna. The radio doesn’t seem to power up. The fuel gauge reads empty all the time. The headlights work and still retain 3 of 4 original T3 headlights. The tires are older bias ply WWW tires which are in OK shape.
