Cadillac DeVille 1973 Description
This car is a three owner car with 31,650 original miles. It is finished in the rare and highly collectible triple black color combination. The original owner owned it until 2005 when the owner of the storage facility purchased it. I bought it from last year and am downsizing my collection. The body is very straight and I looked the car over and don't see any signs of wavinessor body filler. I don't see any noticeable rust coming from around the vinyl top which is common on these cars. There are some scratches on the trunk lid and a few on the hood. There is also one on the passenger side rear between the bumper and the taillight. Most of them are fairly shallow and are not noticed unless you are right next to the car. The car is mostly original except the paint. The alternator, fuel pump were replaced a 2-3 years ago and the carb rebuilt. The top is original. There is some minor pitting on the chrome mostly on the door handles. There is some pitting also on the bumpers in some areas however it is not severe and you have to look close to see it. The power windows work. The interior is like new and all the seats including the drivers seats are near mint and show no wear. There is still some of the new car smell left after 43 years. There is no fading, cracking or heat damage anywhere. The steering wheel is perfect with no cracks. Most of these cars have cracked steering wheels that are covered up by leather wrapping. The dash has no cracks or heat damage. The engine runs smooth and quiet and the transmission shifts fine. I parked the car on my concrete driveway and didn't see any fluid leaks. I have driven the car about 350 miles in recent weeks all trouble free. The tires are good and were replaced about 7 years ago. The power steering pump rattles just a bit when idlingand the belt may need to be tightened. It's not very loud and not much of a problem. I've seen to comparable cars that were on this site that were identical in year and color and they sold in the $18,000-$20,000 range. This is not a perfect car, however it is very attractive, and presentable and gets a lot of compliments. It's priced very reasonable given the condition and the miles. An Awesome collector car with great appreciation potential. You may call me at 818-790-1438. Buyer is responsible for pick up or shipping charges. I can assist with arranging shipping.
