Cadillac DeVille 1969 Description
No Reserve. Bid away. For sale, 969 Coupe Deville. 14,612 original miles. Car was previously sitting for many years in a garage. Car runs and drives and stops. the car was owned by an elderly man who passed away in 1984 andwho's wife drove very little or had someone drive her on the weekends. she kept it inspected until 1993. Has been garaged most of if not all of its life as you can tell from the condition and the condition of the original vinyl top which has no tears or scratches. great condition. the interior is equally nice with theexception of a less than an inch tear on the pipping on the side of drivers seat. theres also a little light that had plastic venttile covering that is broken on the dash where their knees possibly bonked it. and the vinyl on the long door pulls on the doors areungluing themselves slowly from the pulls. other than that the interior is in greatshape, nd the electric doors and windows work well. the radio gets some reception, ut the electricantennadoesn't seem to go go down. the original floor mats are in there as well. the electric seats work the headliner is up tight and very nice. the trunk is very nice and still has all the cardboard surrounds and original carpet. there is some carpetdeterioration under the spare tire, ut no rust and thecardboard/particle type board is still intact under the carpet. the up under the trunk lid is clean and rust free as well and still has the original jacking instructions. the original jack still remains in the trunk. i believe a few of the tires are still original with the exception of one was replaces. i believe they polyester biasplus and still very good life left in them. the underside is very solid as well. there are some small dents and scratches on the car and some surface rust around the rear fender skirts. no one notices until i point them out. everyone expresses how nice of a car it is. there is only one pin hole actual rust spot by the back fender skirt. the rear bumper has a couple dents in it. the bad one is on the bumper on the drivers side where that decorative part is that mirrors the tail light. you can see in the pictures. under the hood is fairly sanitary. could use new paint on the motor valve covers and air cleaner. this is a very solid carand would make an easy restoration for someone. the car has 14,612 original miles and even has service stickers in the door when it was last serviced in 1989 and had 14,xxx miles on it. this car was found in bridgeton, nbsp;nj where it was bought new and still wears the dealer emblem on the trunk. it had a very good life until it was parked in a very crowded garage. I had to have some workdon't to get it up and running. this is what has been done so far:
-New Battery-New Coil-New Points-New Rotor-New Plugs-New Plug Wires-New Alternator-New External Voltage Regulator-All New Belts-New master Cylinder-And some minorrepairs to wiring and vacuum lines.
Stillcould use a brake job. it stops well now, ut pulls to the right a little. I would love to see the car with fresh paint just to get rid of the fewimpactions that is has. itwouldn't take much to bring it back to how it looked the day it was bought in 1969.
I'msureI'm leaving some things out…if anymore info comes to me i will update. feel free to email or call me with any questions or to come see the car in person.
