Cadillac Eldorado 1955 Description

This 1955 Cadillac Eldorado is a nearly complete, solid project car ready to be restored. The original color is Bahama Blue. I believe the project was stopped mid restoration but don't know the history. This is a great project car and difficult to find in this condition. Most are complete at various levels of quality for a lot of money. The car is equipped with radio, heater, power; brakes, seats and windows, and whitewall tires. There's a small easily repairable dent just behind the passenger door. The windshield is in good shape, one door glass is broken but frame is complete, one rear glass is discolored at the base. The convertible top frame moves up and down freely. The convertible pump/motors are in the wells. There's a small hole at the driveshaft tunnel which is common for this model for some reason, there's also a hole at the passenger side floor. The trunk floor visually looks awful due to adhesive and carpet threads but is very solid with no holes. The rear lip below the trunk has minor dent and strip of rust through. There are bubbles down low at the driver rear quarter panel.

The interior is where you find most of the work needing to be done. Please review the images to see what is included. The dash is complete including the radio. There's no ignition switch however. The front seat has been covered multiple times and power mechanism is under seat. One door panel in rough shape is there from another Eldoradoto be used as a template for new panels. There are door panel armrests and pulls for both sides along with stainless panels at the base with the grills both sides. An upholstery shop should not have a problem building the correct door panels in the white and blue leather using this panel as a template. The rear seat panels are there with window buttons and ashtrays. The front kick panels are complete for both sides. Also there, but difficult to see in the images of the seat backs are the stainless trim that goes up over the seat backs which are in great condition. I do not have a backseat or the aluminum floor mats.
The 331cid motor
currently has a single carburetor with automatic transmission. The transmission goes in and out of gear smoothly using the column shifter. Drive train, steering and suspension are complete. The actual mileage is unknown. The car does not move in park but rolls freely in neutral. The dual quad intake and "bat wing" air cleaner are there but do not have the carburetors. The car has not run in years and the running condition is unknown. This is a nice project with nearly complete parts ready to be finished.

I have the clear title. The car is being sold as shown. I have photographed all the parts included, please review. Please ask questions, it's important both parties are satisfied.Car must be paid for and picked up within 7 days of auction end. Transportation to be arranged and paid by the buyer.
