Buick Other 1940 Description
Beautiful potential in this Pre-war era gem. We purchased it as an original restoration project but do to medical issues that dream was never able to befulfilled. Car is very solid with some exterior rust on paint and 1 rust spot through the floorboard behind the passenger seat. Needs full overhaul on interior but theoriginal straight 8 fireball engine ran until we pinched an ignition wire with the hood cowl, due to injuries my husband can no longer bend enough to trace the pinched wire but engine will start the old trick way of gas in the carburator. The title on this gem is clear and I believe we are the 2nd owners, we purchased it in 2006 from an older gentleman in Connecticut who was still driving this car around town but had to give up his license due to his age. We drovethe car for 3 years to local car shows and it wasdefinitely a head turner and a crowd pleaser, especially with the men of that generation and their families. In 2009 my husband was injured and the car was parked, sadly hisdream of restoring the car with our son was crushed that same day. Fast forward 7 years still being unable to do what he used to do we have decided to let it go in hopes someone may have a similar dream as his. This car is the perfect restoration project for anyone who loves Buicks or the Pre-war era on its own. If you want to see additional photos please request them.
