Buick LeSabre 1964 Description

NO RESERVE - NO TITLE -SOLD WITH BILL OF SALE -TRUE MILEAGE UNKNOWN - SOLD WITH BILL OF SALE.

If you are looking for a Low Rider and want to have fun making your car bounce at car shows but don't have the money to start from scratch... here's a good project to start with. Sold with a Bill of Sale only. Looks better in the pictures than in real life.

This is a 1964 Buick LeSabre, Low Rider with hydraulic suspension with 10 switch control.

Former drug dealer car from Tennessee, confiscated during a raid and sold at a police auction. No headliner, has been sitting for about a year and a half, engine turns over, has AC, no key - starts by connecting wires under the dash board. Driver's door needs to be adjusted to close correctly (dent at the bottom edge of the door), trunk opens with a screw driver as the key/lock mechanism is missing. One of the rear door latches needs to be adjusted as well to lock the door in place. Wheels are wire spoke and look nice at 5 feet but need be painted or re-chromed to look new again. Tires are in good shape. The rear of the car bounces easily by hand but the batteries in the trunk need to be charged and connected again. The paint needs a good cleaning and polishing to bring it back again - there are silver sparkles in the paint and gold trim on the handles and other parts. Car looks good at 25 feet. There are small dents here and there, some rust here and there - but overall this will be a good project for the right person. The brake rotor on the front, passenger side, needs to be replaced. Previous owner put a lot of his business profits into the car - I have not gone through the entire car, I am sure the DEA did, but you never know,,, there may be treasures to be found. The trunk has some rust holes - all the hydraulic lines and hardware seem to be in place but the batteries in the trunk, which connect to the compressors are not fully connected, and the batteries need to be charged, so I don't know the operating condition.

I have not had it running as the gas is old in the tank, but with a charged up battery and the wires connected under the dash, it turns over.

No reserve, highest bid wins. The car is sold AS-IS. There will be issues over and above the items that I have described - please come and view the car before bidding so you know what you are bidding on. No returns, sold AS-IS. Comes with a BILL OF SALE - no title at this time. Please note that the car looks better in the pictures than in real life.... The front right of the car sits higher then the rest of the car until the pressure is released.

It will need to be towed.

1964 Buick LeSabre Description from Wikipedia:

Minor face lifting with new grille and horizontal taillights replacing the 1963's vertical units highlighted the 1964 LeSabre. A somewhat better equipped "Custom" version also joined the lineup this year, easily identifiable by its full length chrome side molding with a brushed metal insert. The regular LeSabre had a narrow trim piece on the rear third of the body.[3]

Under the hood, the 401-cubic-inch V8 was replaced in LeSabre sedans and coupes by a smaller 300-cubic-inch V8 designed for the upsized Special/Skylark intermediates that replaced the aluminum V8 in those vehicles. In standard form, the 300 was rated at 210 horsepower with two-barrel carburetor and 9 to 1 compression ratio for use of regular fuel. Optionally available was a 250-horsepower version of the same engine with four-barrel carburetor and higher 11 to 1 compression ratio mandating the use of premium fuel.

Replacing the old Dynaflow-based two-speed automatic transmission were two new Super Turbine automatics. The two-speed Super Turbine 300 (shared with the intermediate-sized cars) was available with the standard two-barrel 300 V8 while the three-speed Super Turbine 400 (shared with other big Buicks and Rivieras) was standard with the 300 four-barrel and optional with the standard engine as well as the 401 in the Estate Wagon. The standard transmission with the base 300 two-barrel V8 was a three-speed column shift manual and a four-speedmanualwas available as an option with either engine. The new ST300 transmission carried over the variable pitch torque converter from the Dynaflow that had been used since the mid-1950s, while the first year for the ST400 featured a fixed-pitch converter. Inside, only minor trim/upholstery revisions were made.
