Many parts and a lot of time were put into this car. The following items were used on this 1970 Buick GSX tribute.
Woodgrain shifter handle (1970 1 year only item)
Correct gas, oil and temperature gauge in dash. (Oil and Temp are not connected due to more accurate gauges installed under dash )
24 hour military clock (Correct for 1970 GSX. Many people miss this item on tribute cars)
Tilt steering column
15” Buick sport steering wheel
Correct 1970 hood grill, scoops and under hood seal plates (hood grills are a 1970 1 year only item)
Front and rear spoilers
Functional Buick GSX Hood tachometer
15” ralley wheels with correct 1970 Center caps
Correct 1970 GS and GSX Hoodbar (1970 1 year only item)
Correct 1970 GSX grill emblem
Correct GSX Dash emblem
Correct Deluxe black bucket seat interior
Correct floor shift Console
Correct 1970 GS GSX Grill
Engine:
Big Block Buick power from a 455 with stage 1 performance heads, Edelbrock B4B performance aluminum intake, Mild cam and full length chrome headers. Under the hood you find a correct ram air breather and Stage1 chrome valve covers.
Transmission:
Completely rebuilt recently with a master transmission kit and a new mild 2000 rpm stall convertor. This transmission shifts solid and firm.
Rear Axle:
Performance built 10 bolt with 3:90 gears gets this Buick moving quickly. Posi traction makes sure it grips the ground as best it can. The speedometer is way off due to this not being the original gear.
Chrome :
Front and rear bumpers were rechromed years ago by Tri City Plating and still look very nice. (Small scratch on rear bumper see pics) New Tail light lenses and BUICK name plate were put on at that time as well and still look very nice.
Paint :
Paint is nice and shines up very well. Approximately 6 years old. Not a concourse show paint job. This is a nice driver paint for going out on the town. This car gets a TON of looks. Hood is painted satin black with red pinstripe. Satin black keeps the glare off the driver's eyes. Side stripes and GSX emblems are correctly produced decals. All Skylark emblems and trim were removed for a correctly painted GSX.
Stainless trim :
Grill trim, wheel well trim and rocker moldings are in good condition..
Interior :Correct console with woodgrain shifter. Newly redone 24 hour clock. Original AM radio is not hooked up or working. Icarry a wireless bluetooth speaker in the car that I am able to set outside when I am at a local cruise in spot. 1970 Bucket seats (bottoms need redone rips in seat cover see pics). Front seatbelts have been washed and are soft to the touch. Buckles on the front seats have been powder coated black for durability to resist scratching and long lasting good looks. Rear seat is in good condition. Door panels are driver condition (see pics ) A/C and int fan do not work. Drivercondition original Buick floor mats. Carpet could use replacing.
This is a great driver condition car to go to local cruise ins or have a fun weekend out. You will get stopped a lot and asked all about it. Without question it gets a lot of attention from people of every walk of life. This Buick is a lot of fun. Please do not think you're buying a concours show car. This car like any old cars will need things done to it if you plan to drive it daily. It’s not a new car nor is it perfect. I am happy to answer questions about the car. This car is being sold as is. I will be available for anyone that would like to see the car in person.
